A woman and a boy almost drowned and were pulled from the surf at Yamba on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a near drowning at Pippi Beach, Yamba about 5pm.
A woman aged in her 50s and a boy were caught in a rip.
The pair were pulled from the water and treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
They were taken to Grafton Hospital in a stable condition.
