A love triangle allegedly sparked a vicious fight which left two people allegedly suffering stab wounds and a woman in police custody.
Trouble began at the Wyong Leagues Club on Saturday night, when Rebecca Mossman-Riley, 29, bumped into her ex-boyfriend on a night out with his new lover.
A verbal altercation broke out between the trio, who were then asked by security to leave the popular Central Coast venue, shortly before 9.30pm, police allege.
But the alleged fight between the threesome didn’t stop there.
Police allege the fight escalated in the carpark and Mossman-Riley stabbed her 29-year-old ex-boyfriend three times in the back, then allegedly stabbed his 31-year-old girlfriend once in the arm.
She then allegedly left the scene.
Horrified onlookers rendered first aid to the injured couple until paramedics arrived.
“It was hectic...never seen so much blood,” one witness said on social media.
Paramedics treated the injured man at the scene before airlifting him to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle in a stable condition.
Footage from the incident showed him climbing into the waiting helicopter with bandages covering his back and a drip attached to his arm.
The woman was transported by road to the same hospital for treatment to an arm injury.
Police arrested Mossman-Riley shortly after midnight on Sunday at a unit in Wyong, and charged her with two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
She faced Newcastle Local Court on Sunday morning and was granted strict bail in which she must not leave her Wyong home unless it is to attend a medical or legal appointment.
She must not drink alcohol, take drugs or carry a blade in a public place.
The court was told Mossman-Riley and the male alleged victim had previously been in a relationship.
Mossman-Riley’s mother Lisa told The Daily Telegraph she had no idea about the allegations her daughter was facing or what was behind the alleged fight.
When Mossman-Riley was released on bail a few hours later, her mother said the family didn’t want to talk about the alleged stabbing while they focused on supporting her.
“At this point the family requests that there are no other comments to be made,” Lisa Mossman said.
A manager at Wyong Leagues Club said they were assisting NSW Police with the investigation.
Mossman-Riley will face Wyong Local Court on January 12.
It is the second serious incident in the area after two men were shot at nearby Blue Haven on January 1.
In an unrelated attack, police said two men - aged 50 and 27 - were shot while driving into a car park on Colorado St, at about 4.20am.
Despite their gunshot wounds, the pair managed to continue driving to Myee Place where they called for help.
Both men were taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Police are still looking for the gunman in what is believed to be a targeted shooting.
