A 13-year-old boy is in a serious condition following a head-on motorcycle smash on a remote track. The rescue chopper has been busy across the region in recent weeks.

A 13-year-old boy is in a serious condition following a motorcycle collision just south of the Minnie Water township.
A spokesman from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter said they believed the incident was the result of a head-on collision on a beach track.
The incident left one boy with head injuries, and due to the rugged terrain, the helicopter’s medical team were winched into the scene.
They then stretcher winched him up to helicopter.
He was flown last night to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
This incident follows other motorcycle crashes on the North Coast in difficult terrain over the past months.
In late July, a 52-year-old man collided with a sign on his motorbike and fell three metres down an embankment at Lillian Rock, north of Nimbin.
