Firearms, cash seized in Strike Force Raptor raids
Two men have been charged after officers from Strike Force Raptor raided five properties in Sydney and Newcastle, allegedly seizing bars of silver bullion, weapons, drugs and cash.

SILVER bars, 27 firearms, knuckle dusters and more than $70,000 in cash have been seized after raids were carried out on properties in the Sydney metropolitan area and Newcastle.
After a year-long investigation into drug supply by police from the Criminal Groups Squad, heavily-armed police from Strike Force Raptor executed search warrants on homes in Bundanoon, Camden, Dee Why, Mount Annan and Merriwa.
Police arrested two men aged 33 and 65 as well as seizing drugs, computers mobile phones during the raids carried out yesterday.

During the search of a Bundanoon property in the Southern Highlands, police allege they found nine firearms, ammunition, knives, a 5kg silver bar, the drug MDMA, a mountain bike, and a surfboard suspected of being stolen.
During the search of the Mt Annan property in Sydney’s southwest, police allegedly seized 18 firearms including four handguns, six sets of knuckle dusters, two batons, 15kg of silver bullion bars, and $70,000 cash. They also collected documentation, electronic equipment, cash, prohibited drugs and prescription drugs at the other addresses.
A 33-year-old Dee Why man was arrested in Bundanoon and taken to Moss Vale Police Station, where he was charged with 23 offences including supply prohibited drug indictable quantity, possess unauthorised firearm, possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, and handle/use firearm under the influence of alcohol/drug.
He was refused bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court today.
A 65-year-old man arrested at a Mt Annan home was charged with 16 offences including give pistol to person not authorised by licence, handle or use firearm under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and possess unauthorised pistol. He was granted bail to appear at Picton Local Court on August 13.
Police said investigations are continuing and they suspect more arrests will be made
