A Coffs Harbour drink driver was seen “driving partially on the wrong side of the road” before police pulled him over at more than double the legal alcohol limit.

Michael John Dummigan faced Coffs Harbour Local Court after he was spotted by officers who were cruising Combine St just after 10.30pm on September 9.

Dummigan’s ute “moved at speed from Hill St on to Meadow St”, crossing lines.

The 52-year-old old was pulled over and blew positive on a roadside breath test.

He then recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.120 at a police station.

Dummigan pleaded guilty to a single charge of mid-range drink driving – first offence.

Magistrate Julia Virgo convicted and fined him $1000 on November 15.

Dummigan’s licence was disqualified for four months and he will be subject to a 12-month interlock licence order once allowed back on the road.
