A Mid-North Coast civil construction worker is facing more than 20 drugs and firearms charges including allegations he supplied high powered weapons like a pump-action shotgun and an AR-15 rifle.

A Mid-North Coast civil construction worker is facing more than 20 drugs and firearms charges including allegations he supplied high powered weapons like a pump-action shotgun and an AR-15 rifle.
Police allege they seized a cache of firearms and drugs including cannabis, cocaine and heroin and amphetamines during a raid on an Upper Corindi property on July 11 last year before arresting and charging Karl Francis Schweikert.
Charges against the former worker at KS Coastwide Civil, include supplying prohibited firearms and pistols to unauthorised persons between December 2023 and August last year.
According to court documents, the 27-year-old Coffs Harbour man is alleged to have supplied a variety of firearms including a .357 calibre rifle, an SK rifle, and AR15 rifle, a .308 rifle, a .45 pistol and a .22 revolver pistol.
The AR-15 rifle is notorious in the United States, known for its use in several of the country’s worst mass shootings.
It is also alleged he took part in the supply of a pump action shotgun, a lever action rifle and a .24 pistol.
Schweikert is currently on bail and is banned from using the internet or social media.
He is also banned from using encrypted messaging apps such as Discord and Telegram, and is limited to only one phone and one SIM with the password provided to police.
The conditions extend to surrendering his passport and not going within 500m of any point of international departure point.
Police facts state at the time of his arrest, Schweikert had two thousand dollars in cash, believed to be the proceeds of crime, and was in the possession of 3.3g of methamphetamine, 0.36g of ketamine and 600g of cannabis leaf.
The facts further allege Schweikert supplied 33 cannabis plants, 38g of cocaine, 10g of heroin, 967g of methamphetamine, 140g of MDMA, 18g of amphetamine, 26g of cocaine and 56g of cannabis.
Schweikert was also charged with unlawfully selling firearms three times or more, four counts of supply a firearm to an unauthorised person, two counts of supply a pistol, possess ammunition without holding a licence, dealing with property believed to be the proceeds of crime, possessing ammunition without a licence and not keeping a firearm safely.
He has also been charged with five counts of supplying a prohibited drug, three counts of possessing a prohibited drug and cultivating a prohibited plant.
His next court appearance is on June 30.
