A Sydney podcaster has been hit with criminal charges after allegedly breaching an AVO put in place to protect a former reality TV personality.
Megan Pustetto, who hosts celeb gossip podcast So Dramatic, is set to face Waverley Local Court on August 14, after she was charged with two counts of contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO, following dramas with Danni Erskine, who appeared on Seven’s Bride and Prejudice show in 2019.
Last month, Erskine was granted a 52-day Apprehended Personal Violence Order against Pustetto.
According to court documents, an AVO was made “for the protection of Dannii Erskine, prohibiting or restricting the behaviour of the defendant Megan Pustetto”.
Under the AVO, Pustetto was prohibited from contacting or communicating with Erskine.
However, she has since been charged with two breaches of the order – the specifics of the allegations are unknown however.
The AVO came after Pustetto published several pieces on her So Dramatic podcast and website claiming Erskine had faked her own death.
In 2023, a person purporting to be Erskine’s sister, Dee, told the controversial podcast Dannii had died in a car crash.
However, Erskine later came forward and revealed she was very much alive, and the death notice was a result of her Instagram account being hacked.
Pustetto published six episodes of her podcast detailing Erskine’s accident.
Pustetto did not respond to requests for comment. Erskine was also contacted.
