A man has sustained a broken right ankle after his minivan almost rolled off Huskisson wharf overnight. Emergency services were called to Currembene Street about 10.15pm (Saturday 2 May 2020), after a white Holden Combo minivan rolled onto the wharf and had its front wheels hanging off the edge. Officers attached to South Coast Police District have been told the 45-year-old male driver had parked the minivan about 10m from the wharf, and had briefly left the vehicle, when it began rolling forward. As the man tried to get back into the driver’s seat his lower right leg was crushed when the van became wedged between posts at the end of the wharf. A 42-year-old woman, in the front passenger seat, was not injured.

Replica gun found in van teetering on wharf’s edge

A man has had his leg crushed stopping his car rolling off a south coast ferry wharf. Police who showed up to help the man then allegedly found a replica handgun, knives and drugs in the car.

Following more shouting, another man in a white hoodie is seen shouting and revealing a silver pistol hidden in the pocket of his jacket, before the trio take off down Wangee Rd pursued by the man they attacked.
