The two shared a smooch in a music video for rock band Blink 182’s in which 45-year-old Barker is a drummer.

Popular instagram account Celeb Spell Check first uncovered the relic by posting a snippet of the video captioned: “Before Kravis there was Trophie.”

The accompanying video for band’s hit single Always was shot back in 2004, while the band was on tour in Australia, and is centred around a couple trying to repair a broken relationship.

Displayed through three, jagged and horizontal frames Monk plays a woman who fights and then makes up with each band member, who are meant to symbolise the same man in the doomed relationship.

In an interview with MTV, bassist Tom Delonge offered up his more racy interpretation of the song lyrics.

“The song is about wanting to hold a chick all night long and kiss her and touch her and taste her and feel her and all these great adjectives.”

Monk, who was 24 at the time of filming and had just split from pop group Bardot, can be seen locked in a steamy embrace with Barker, sporting smudged eyeliner, a grungy outfit and tousled hair.

Despite the pash looking awfully convincing, it’s just proof of Monk’s acting skills as it’s understood there was no romance between herself and Barker, who was engaged to first wife Shanna Moakler at the time.

However in 2016 Monk revealed on Instagram she received her first ever tattoo with the rocker, fondly posting a throwback video of her cameo appearance that said: “Aw Blink182 flashback, I got my first tattoo with Travis Barker, they are all legends.”

For Barker, who just got engaged to Kourtney Kardashian and on Tuesday evening showed off a new tattoo of her lipstick smooch, hopefully life won’t imitate art by way of the music video.
