LIFE isn’t just about the perfect selfie for Instagram star-turned-model and businesswoman Steph Claire Smith.
“I have so much on outside of modelling now, I’ve come to a point where I really do have to be quite selective with the jobs I do. I keep to a rule that I only work with brands I can relate to, or jobs that excite me or challenge me in a way,” she said
One of those brands is General Pants Co, for whom Smith shot a campaign for its new Metalicuis line this week.
“It’s young and sexy ... but cool. Very Kim K. Seriously comfortable material and totally on-trend, gorgeous styles,” the model said.

Smith was one of the original Instafamous Aussies who have garnered a loyal following. Authenticity has been the key to her online success.
“My rules are pretty simple — only post things you generally like/love. Meaning, if you see me advertising something, sure I may be getting paid, but I have to genuinely love the product before I accept the job.
“I understand I have a young following and I always want to make sure I’m being a good role model.”

While she may be part of the tech generation, Smith has a rule of no phones during a movie, dinner or in bed.
The Sydney-based entrepreneur will also this year launch her own sunglasses label Soda Shades.
