SOCIAL media has ranted in a unified “WTF” after a slag from The Bachelor contestant Florence left viewers fuming.

On a group date, TV villain Jennifer was dressed as a lifesaver, much to the amusement of Matty J’s fellow love interests.

But as the women decided to let off a few fits of Mean Girl style giggles, the 27-year-old Dutch brand manager may have taken things a step too far.

Jennifer was called a “Jewish banana” for her outfit on The Bachelor

“She looks like a Jewish banana,” Florence quipped and with those words, online went into meltdown.

Droves of viewers let fly on Twitter with one user saying: “what the actual f**k I can’t believe Flo called someone a “Jewish banana”.”

“She looks like a Jewish banana’ #BachelorAU when did using someone’s religion become an acceptable insult to broadcast on TV? Shocked,” another said.

The moment Florence let the "Jewish banana" slip.

The winner of last night’s photo shoot was promised a picture spread in a women’s magazine.

Laura-Ann, who was given little airtime, was eliminated from the show.

The Bachelor airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7.30pm on Channel 10.
