Humorous, or unladylike? Natalie Holmberg makes quite an impression upon entering The Bachelor's cocktail party on Wednesday evening.
IF FIRST impressions last, one girl certainly had a blast making the most of her moment.
Unfortunately, for Natalie Holmberg, it may not have been quite the right impression.
When Holmberg, ahem, let one rip during the first Bachelor cocktail party on Wednesday night, viewers were torn over whether the South Australian midwife was just being her normal funny self, or displaying the most unladylike act ever seen on reality television.
But she says that despite the criticism and debate, she has no regrets over her decision to deliberately break wind in her sequined dress.
“I didn’t think that it would be a thing,” the 26-year-old told Confidential.
“Some people think it’s hilarious and some people are like ‘Eeww you’re disgusting, what is wrong with her?’.
“That’s me unfortunately,” she added. “I know I’d just met these people and I’m on TV but I didn’t think of it like that. I thought it would be a bit of a LOL and I don’t see farting as being (uncultured).”
Holmberg, the first openly bisexual local Bachelor contestant, says she wasn’t drunk when she met Matty J after viewers commented on her erratic behaviour.
“That is me. If you get me sitting around with my friends, drink or no drink that is what I’m like. People were like, ‘Are you drunk?’ I was like, I had half a drink.”
She also wants viewers to know her one-liners weren’t fed to her by a producer either.
“I should win an Oscar if that was scripted. Who the hell wrote that script if that was scripted? If they wanted to chuck in the word ‘moist’ four times, that’s not the best script, you need to get a new scriptwriter.”
But despite her explosive entrance to the show, Holmberg is still in the running to win Matty J’s heart.
