Hollywood actor Russell Crowe has ditched his bushy “Zeus” beard after wrapping filming on Thor: Love and Thunder.
The Academy award winner debuted a clean-cut look this week after shaving off his long white facial hair, which he grew over several months for his guest role in the Marvel blockbuster.
Crowe, 57, shared a photo of his trimmed beard on Twitter alongside the caption, “What price the beard of Zeus?”
Earlier this year it was revealed that the A-list star would make a cameo appearance in the highly-anticipated film in the role of the Greek God Zeus.
He has been spotted spending time with the cast around Sydney including Chris Hemsworth, Matt Damon and Natalie Portman and is understood to have finished filming his scenes at Fox Studios late last month.
It has been a difficult year for Crowe, who tragically lost his father John Alexander Crowe in March.
The grieving actor has continued working and could be starring alongside Zac Efron next in Peter Farrelly’s The Greatest Beer Run Ever, as sources say he is currently in talks to join the cast.
Other stars of Thor include Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Chris Pratt and Jeff Goldblum.
Filming began earlier this year after being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the film is expected to be released next year.
The fourth instalment of Thor is expected to spend around $178 million, use the services of around 1,650 local Australian businesses and create up to 2,500 jobs in NSW.
