Talk about heavy hitters.
It was a Hollywood power lunch in full swing in Woolloomooloo as some of the biggest names in the game soaked up the warm weather at China Doll on Saturday.
Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA and Grammy Award winners were all present as the likes of Russell Crowe, Sacha Baron Cohen and Christian Bale held court at the eatery on the famous wharf strip.
Isla Fisher, Taika Waititi and Rita Ora were also at the lunch, as well as comedian Ross Noble and Crowe’s girlfriend Britney Theriot.
A number of children were also part of the group that dined in what is a regular haunt for radio heavyweight John Laws.
Onlookers observed Crowe and Waititi take a smoke break out front on the wharf when the Gladiator star was approached by a local woman in a pink dressing gown, whom he greeted warmly with a hug.
In high spirits, Crowe was also happy to pose for selfies with fans enamoured by the star table.
The Sunday Telegraph last week revealed Waititi and Ora were rumoured to be dating.
Waititi is in Sydney directing Chris Hemsworth helmed Thor Love and Thunder, which is shooting around town.
Crowe will make a cameo in the movie alongside stars Natalie Portman, Chris Pratt, Jeff Goldblum and Tessa Thompson.
The group have been seen out and about socialising at the football as guests of Crowe to watch his beloved Rabbitohs.
With Hollywood atoll recovering from the global pandemic, Australia has become a major hub for the television and film business with productions based here.
