FORMER high-class escort Amanda Goff has revealed she regrets giving up her business after dating Channel 7 presenter Ryan Phelan.

Goff, who went by the name Samantha X, announced in October that after six years she was hanging up the heels, and soon after she went public with her now-defunct relationship with Phelan.

The mother of two has declared herself happy with dating and being single — for now.

Goff told Confidential that after the relationship ended suddenly in January she hit “a bit of a personal crisis”, saying “I learnt a valuable lesson in my recent break-up and that was never, ever to give anything up for a man.

“What I thought my future was going to be changed in the matter of seconds, so it took me a while to regroup and refocus.

“I am in no rush to jump into the next relationship.”

Having stepped back from escort work, Goff still runs an agency and advises would-be escorts.

“I learnt never to rush into making huge life choices with someone I had known for a matter of weeks.

“That is wise advice for any man or woman rushing into a relationship!

“Take your time — get to actually know the person, faults and all, before you make important decisions.”

Despite stepping away from escorting, Goff stills runs an escort agency with her business partner, and advises women who want to get into the industry.

She’s also working on a successful Sealed Section podcast, which she said “reaffirmed for me that people are still itching to know, talk and listen about sex and intimacy”.

Mother-of-two Goff said she’s started dating again, but at this stage is happily single.

“I am in no rush to jump into the next relationship but the next man will be kind, genuine and funny.

“I’ve dated a few, but I know what I am looking for, and I won’t settle for anything less now,” she said.

“If a man doesn’t enhance your life, then what’s the point?

“To have all the issues that come with a relationship, he has to be pretty special.

“I’ve had my kids, I own my own home, I’ve created a lovely life with wonderful friends and
a great community.

“I am not scared of sleeping alone forever!

“I would rather sleep alone every night than with someone who doesn’t quite fit.”
