ALMOST two months after opening up about their relationship, Channel 7 journalist Ryan Phelan and former sex worker Samantha X have announced they have broken up.
Samantha X, also known as Amanda Goff, told The Daily Telegraph today that they had ended their whirlwind romance.
“Yes it is true — Ryan and I have ended our relationship,” she said.
“Without going into details, I will say my friends and community have been amazing, my house is filled with flowers and my girlfriends are my tribe.
“To any woman going through a divorce, heartbreak, an ending — don’t blame yourself and keep moving forward.”
The pair announced their love to the world in November last year after Phelan posted a photograph of himself on Instagram with Samantha X.
At the time, Samantha X confirmed “Mr Big” was not Phelan despite the rumour mill running wild.
“It’s all out now,” she wrote on Instagram in November.
“Meet my love, Ryan — He is NOT Mr Big from my book!”

It was previously revealed how Samantha X had a career in the media, having worked at New Idea, Prevention and InStyle magazines.
She explained in September 2014 how boredom at work led to her transition from a divorced mum to a highly paid escort.
She said she would stare out the window of her Sydney office at “the grey buildings” and “fantasise about drinking champagne in a hotel room with a man”.
One day, she decided to visit a bordello on her lunch break. Two days later, she was having sex for money.
Her experience of post-divorce dating disasters and romantic “let downs” also contributed to her decision to become a sex worker, she said at the time.
In October, Samantha X announced she was quitting the escort business.
Posting on social media, she revealed that her final booking was with a 76-year-old regular, who had Parkinson’s disease.
The news she had quit the industry coincided with her relationship announcement with Phelan, who is also said to have jeopardised his career.
Not everyone was as joyous about Phelan’s new relationship in November, with sources telling Confidential the pairing had raised more than a few eyebrows at Channel Seven’s Martin Place headquarters, where he spent his days as a panellist on The Daily Edition.
Expert media analyst Steven Allen told Confidential at the time he expected Phelan’s personal life to affect his professional life, saying good brands “would be running a mile” not to advertise during the show, which caters to retirees and stay-at-home parents.
These days, Samantha X is offering her services as a relationship coach for men — on a strictly clothes-on basis.
