SHE’S the model with nearly a million followers on social media but Elyse Knowles believes her time shooting reno reality show The Block taught her that none of that matters.

Knowles and her partner Josh Barker have been filming the latest series of The Block for the past three months, forcing the swimsuit model to take a break from the industry and social media.

“You get caught up in the industry and having all these things pushed in your face via social media.

“But hanging out with tradies for the last three months you realise none of that matters and why am I worrying so much about trying to be a certain someone … I’m over it,” she told Confidential.

“When you take a step back you realise you don’t have to be so competitive.”

The self-described bogan, who proudly jokes she was constantly caught picking her nose on camera, said filming was difficult because she was sworn to secrecy and couldn’t tell her clients why she wasn’t available for work.
