You would expect Merivale millionaire Justin Hemmes’ Christmas to be lavish – however we didn’t quite expect this.
Hemmes and his long-time partner Madeline Holtznagel celebrated December 25th in style, complete with a giant 5m-tall Christmas tree that took six men to assemble.
Holtznagel gave a glimpse into how the couple spent their holiday break at what looked like multiple venues.
It is believed they celebrated Christmas Day at his Narooma property on the south coast and Boxing Day at The Hermitage, his heritage-listed waterfront mansion at Vaucluse.
Images shared to Instagram show Holtznagel using giant ladders to hang decorations on the tree, which was put up in what looked like an old church.
Holtznagel, who has been dating Hemmes since 2020, revealed she had spent multiple nights decorating the multiple trees with the children’s nanny, Alana Sutherland.
“I know Christmas is over, but true story @alanatherland and I were decorating this 16ft real tree right up until Christmas Eve. 3 trees, lots of late nights, tangled lights and bottles of wine all worth it for the most magical Christmas Day,” Holtznagel wrote on Instagram.
Images show stockings hanging for Hemmes’ two daughters Alexa and Saachi, as well as one for himself, Madeleine and Alana.
Sydney DJ turned global success story Georgia Magree then joined the duo, along with Jon George from Rufus Du Sol.
After Christmas Day, the couple made their way back home to Sydney, where they took to the water for the annual Sydney to Hobart race.
