MAFS star Michael Brunelli to go under the knife for a second nose job
He’s one of the standout stars of Married At First Sight after stealing the heart of ‘wife’ Martha Kalifatidis but all is not as it seems with Michael Brunelli revealing a big secret to Sydney Confidential.
Schoolteacher reality star Michael Brunelli reckons he needs another nose job.
The Married At First Sight contestant wants people to know he had a better nose before he had to go under the knife following a football accident last year.
“It was a forced procedure,” Brunelli told Confidential. “The accident actually happened about six weeks before my wedding day on MAFS. I was playing footy as I do every week … there were words exchanged out there. I went to pick up the ball and one of the guys got me in the nose and knocked the ball across my face.”

Brunelli is a full time primary school physical education teacher but his driving passion outside of work is football and he is captain of Melbourne’s Heidelberg AFL team.
“My nose was nice and straight, that is for sure,” said Brunelli, who is partnered with Martha Kalifatidis on MAFS.
“I think it doesn’t look better than before. I think it is still crooked. It probably isn’t visible to the naked eye but it isn’t aligned with my face like it was before.”
Brunelli laughed off online commentary suggesting he underwent surgery because he couldn’t possibly be as good looking as he is.
One Twitter user wrote: “I want to see before and after pics of Michael’s nose because I reckon he was at least 40% less attractive.”
In response, Brunelli said: “I had a straighter nose before I had the corrective surgery. People can say whatever they want. I just want to make sure people know the truth. Looking at my nose now, there may be another nose job in the future but that won’t be until after I finish my footy playing career.”
Brunelli said he wouldn’t have any other work done.
“I want to look good for myself and if that makes me vain then so be it,” he said.
“I like my hair to be right and I like my skin to be nice and I guess to move away from the stereotype of your typical footy player.”
