Kyle Sandilands reveals why Zac Efron split with Vanessa Valladares

Kyle Sandilands has spilt the details on live radio about why Hollywood star Zac Efron split with his Australian girlfriend.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Valladares split several weeks ago after growing apart, according to his friend Kyle Sandilands.

The KIIS radio co-host revealed that he spoke to the Hollywood actor yesterday, who told him there’s no bad blood between him and Byron Bay model Valladares.

“I can confirm [the split] after speaking with him yesterday,” Sandilands said on the Kyle and Jackie O show this morning.

“I heard a rumour around that you know that Netflix show they’re doing in Byron … Byron Baes? There was a rumour going around (which was bullsh**) that Zac was trying to pull strings to get Vanessa on that show and that’s what I rang him about.

“He was like ‘bro yeah we’re not [together]’. It’s only recent, not like yesterday recent but they have gone their separate ways. There was no drama, it’s just done.”

Sandilands, who was a guest at Efron’s 33rd birthday bash in Byron Bay last year, said the actor and Valladares ended their romance due to their different lifestyles.

“He’s back at work and they had spent a lot of time together when he wasn’t working, lunching and living in the mansion on the beach. It’s a fabulous life, then work comes back and it kicks you right back into reality. It’s a shame,” he said.

The couple first went public with their romance in September last year, with Efron having met Valladares while she was working as a waitress at Byron Bay General Store cafe months prior.

Valladares, 26, is said to have quit her job and moved into Efron’s bachelor pad at Belongil Beach shortly after they began dating.

They were often spotted together around Byron Bay, and enjoyed romantic trips to Thredbo ski resort, Melbourne and Sydney.

The Baywatch actor moved to Byron Bay from California in early 2020 to ride out the pandemic and has been filming his Netflix eco-travel show, Down to Earth, around Australia with his younger brother Dylan.
