THE streets of Kings Cross were turned into the swinging sixties yesterday, when Nine kicked off filming the fourth series of its hit series Love Child.
In character as Dr Joan Miller, Jess Marais had all eyes on her — even those of a sweaty Russell Crowe who ran past the set — as she filmed scenes for the upcoming series of the Logie award-winning show.
Mother-of-one Marais, Miranda Tapsell, Matthew LeNevez and Jonathon LaPaglia will be joined on the set this year by Sophia, the daughter of mining magnate Andrew “Twiggy” Forrest who has just graduated from Western Australia’s elite acting school WAPPA and secured a three-year contract on the show.
Last year, Marais opened up about her role on the show, telling News Corp she related to her character in the series.
“What I love about her is her strength and want to do better and do the right thing,” she said.
