JESS Marais has opened up about her dreams for her four-year-old daughter, Scout.
“I just want my daughter to grow up knowing she’s supported, she’s beautiful and that beauty is not just an external thing,” the Love Child star told The Daily Telegraph.
“I think being one’s true self is beautiful.”
Scout was born in May 2012, prior to Marais and former fiancee and Packed to the Rafters co-star James Stewart, splitting last year.
The preschooler has a cheeky streak, said the 31-year-old.
“When we were just recently in Fiji, a lot of them didn’t understand the name Scout — it’s not a very popular name in Fiji! Eventually when they understood, they went ‘Oh, like a boy scout’ and she went ‘No, like a girl scout!’,” the single mum added.
Marais recently stripped down to her undies for the Sensation campaign for bra label Berlei, but denied feeling any pressure around the lingerie photoshoot.
“I felt completely comfortable in my own skin. But of course there’s an awareness that you’re standing there in your bra and underpants, it’s not a normal thing to be doing,” she laughed.
