These are Kyle Sandilands’ most shocking on-air feuds with celebrities

RADIO shock jock Kyle Sandilands has developed a reputation for not holding back when it comes to issues with fellow celebs. Yesterday, the KIIS FM host took another dive in the survey — are these high profile feuds part of the reason?

RADIO jock Kyle Sandilands is undoubtedly one of the most divisive personalities in Australian media.

His KIIS FM breakfast show with Jackie O has maintained the top ranking in the ratings for several years, but in recent surveys the pair have seen some ups-and-downs.

After some dramas this years including contributor Intern Pete’s embarrassing run-in with disgraced cricketer Steve Smith, maybe audiences are over the mean ways of the show.

Confidential breaks down some of Kyle’s most shocking feuds from his years in radio.

ROVE MCMANUS

This fight dates back to when Sandilands was married to singer Tamara Jaber. McManus openly slammed Jaber’s music career.

While in 2011 McManus tried to shut down the feud saying he had “no feelings for Kyle either way”, Sandilands has been open with his dislike of the TV star.

“Everyone thinks he’s cookies and cream when he’s a little pr … k … he’s a little a … hole,” Sandilands said.

“I let bygones be bygones because his wife passed away and I thought, ‘You came in here, you used us, you pretended that you were sorry.’ ”

ROB MILLS

Rob Mills refused to go on Kyle’s radio show and Kyle wasn’t happy.

The fight was on when Kyle threw food in Mills’ face. Years later Mills told rival station Nova about the fight.

“They threw a tuna fish pie in my face, it was gross — and I refuse to do their show,” the signer told Nova Melbourne’s Chrissie, Sam and Browny.

“I’ve not been on the show since. Because I hate them”.

Sandilands, in his true style, came back with: “He’s running around pretending he was dealt this terrible situation which was bulls**t”.

“Unless he comes on tomorrow and explains himself, I’m wiping him like a dirty a**e”.

EM RUSCIANO

Em Rusciano’s radio show ratings were the start of the feud.

Sandilands appears to have enjoyed the terrible ratings of his rival. Last year he slammed Rusciano’s audiences numbers lives on air.

“2Day FM’s breakfast show has fallen even further behind than it already was,” he said.

He described the rival show’s ratings as “disgusting” and “terrible” and added, “you can’t make $1 with those ratings”.

“I offer you now 2Day FM, I’ll buy your licence for $20,” he said. “I offered $1 million recently, now I’m offering $20.”

MAGDA SZUBANKSI

When Sandilands suggested actor Magda Szubanski could become skinny if she was in a concentration camp, he won no friends.

The comments were widely considered totally unacceptable and the host was temporarily suspended when he worked at 2Day FM.

BARNABY JOYCE

The source of their beef was Joyce’s attack on Johnny Depp’s dogs Pistol and Boo.

Joyce insisted Depp should ”bugger off back to the United States” after he accused the star of smuggling the dogs past quarantine when he flew in on his private jet.

Sandilands did not mince words, calling him — among other things — an “absolute clown”.

A furious Joyce quickly lodged a complaint only to have the matter dismissed after ACMA found Sandilands’ comments to be “acceptable”.

DAVID CAMPBELL

David Campbell and Kyle have been at war for the last seven years.

Sandilands and the Today Extra host have had long-running tensions which date back to 2011.

In an interview, the KISS host once called Campbell a “dog a “peasant” and a “c**k breath”.

SAMANTHA GRANT (MEGHAN MARKLE’S HALF-SISTER)

Hot tip: Don’t use your famous sister to promote your book with Kyle.

Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha Grant was spruiking her new book on the show, but things went sideways when she said it wasn’t a horrible exposé of Suits actor despite being marketed as such.

When she said the book was more about her “personal life” than Markle, Kyle cut her off and launched an angry rant.

“Why didn’t you call the book my boring life? Why’d you bring your sister into it? Urrrgh … see you later, you sound like such a bore. I’m not interested. Don’t use your sister’s name to trick media organisations into pushing your sh*t book. You’re gone. See ya — what a loser,” he snapped at her, before hanging up.

RONAN KEATING

Ronan Keating is another of Kyle’s long-running battles.

Speaking to Ricci Guarnaccio from Geordie Shore, Kyle took shots at Ronan Keating — a celebrity he had been feuding with since the radio host described him as a “two foot dwarf”.

Kyle asked the star to promise he wouldn’t go on Ronan Keating’s radio show.

“I had a look at it and it looks awful. One of the worst radio shows I’ve ever seen,” he said.

“And spread the word to all the celebrities to give it a wide berth.”

WALEED ALY

The radio shock jock blasted popular TV presenter Waleed Aly for comments he made on The Project about Kim Kardashian’s work with President Donald Trump to free a convicted grandmother from prison.

“Because he’s such a snowflake lefty, he can’t bring himself to ever say Trump did something good or Kim Kardashian did something good,” Sandilands exclaimed.

“Not everyone has to be a university graduate, up-themselves flog to be a decent person — so lay off people.”

After Today hosts Karl Stefanovic and Georgie Gardner refused to appear on the Kyle & Jackie O Show to discuss the Ubergate scandal, Sandilands was furious.

While unsuccessfully attempting to ring Karl’s number live on air, Sandilands took a swipe at the popular TV host.

”Come on Karl, pick up, you little gutless wonder,” he said.

FITZY AND WIPPA

Kyle tried to call Fitzy and Wippa while they were both on air.

To celebrate World Peace Day, the KIIS host decided to try to bury the hatchet with radio personalities he’s clashed with in the past.

He attempted to get Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa on the phone during his show, but the producer said the duo weren’t available to speak.

“Oh what a bunch of pansies,” said a fired up Kyle.

“Tell that Wippa don’t come up to me in the street arse licking, saying what a great bloke I am. What a bloody bunch of losers.”

DEAN WELLS

When an interview with Married At First Sight contestant Dean Wells was delayed by more than an hour, Kyle demanded to know what the hold up had been.

The MAFS star said he was a busy man, which didn’t sit well with Kyle.

“No you’re not, you’re a piece of shit — you’re not that busy!” the radio host said, before hanging up the phone.
