TWO of the biggest celebrities in Sydney’s FM radio scene have taken a hit in the latest audience survey.
Both Kyle Sandilands and Em Rusciano have lost listeners according to the newest radio ratings released today.
The Kyle and Jackie O KIIS FM show dropped nearly a whole point going from 11.9 to 11.0.
The 2Day FM Breakfast show with Em, Grant and Ed also slipped going from 4.9 to 4.3.
This is the first drop in the ratings since Grant Denyer and Ed Kavalee joined Em Rusciano on the troubled show. The rumours about troubles between the co-host be impacting could be a factor influencing their numbers.

While Kyle and Jackie O slipped they are still at the top of the FM ladder, although creeping closer to the top dogs are Jonesy and Amanda on WSFM. The popular team went from 9.4 to 9.6.
Last time Kyle and Jackie O dropped the ratings Sandilands defended the show and said he didn’t care about the numbers as long as he was number one.
He has previously slammed Rusciano’s show for terrible ratings even offering to buy the network for $20.
“They’re terrible ratings. You can’t make $1 with that rating. They’re now down to 2.9 per cent of the market,” he said last year.
The 2Day FM show has been considered a poisoned chalice with several failed hosting teams.
Since Denyer and Kavalee joined the time, the show had seen improvements, but this survey was not so positive. Rumours surfaced earlier this year that there was serious tensions between the hosts.
Confidential reported back in May that staff were said to be leaving the station’s breakfast show amid claims of a dire working environment, with some refusing to work with co-host Rusciano.
The ratings survey was great for the AM kings. 2GB continued to dominate growing their audiences across breakfast hosted by Alan Jones, mornings with Ray Hadley and Ben Fordham’s afternoon slot.
