IT WAS a bizarre interview that ended up being as much about marijuana as world peace.
Controversial American basketball great Dennis Rodman spoke to Aussie breakfast radio duo Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O on their KIIS 106.5 radio show from Singapore, where historic talks took place between North Korean despot Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump yesterday.
And while there was plenty of back patting going on about what a good bloke the American basketballer is, it was the strange exchange about cannabis that caught Confidential’s attention.
“Are you allowed to smoke weed in North Korea,” Sandilands asked.

Rodman laughed uncomfortably.

Rodman wore a PotCoin T-shirt and Hat on his arrival in Singapore this week.
PotCoin is a marijuana focused cryptocurrency, which Sandilands credited at the end of the interview for getting Rodman on the phone.
“I am glad you were there,” Sandilands said. “I am glad you were a part of it and the world watches with interest and hope. Good bloke.”
Ironically, given Rodman has taken credit for pushing for the talks, the basketballer revealed he and Kim implemented a “no politics” rule when they forged an unlikely friendship about six years ago.
Sandilands also asked Rodman about stories of Kim bringing his own toilet to Singapore.
“That is amazing,” Rodman said. “Is it really true that he has a special toilet that he has to take a crap in?
Rodman appears to have done his best to capitalise on his trip to Singapore for media exposure.
He even cried in a television interview with CNN.
“The emotion just caught up on me, especially as it was very hot,” he said.
“I don’t want people to take that in a negative way as far as trying to feel sorry for me.
“It wasn’t about that. It was just very difficult to handle that situation but love is love, love is always in the air no matter how you look at it.”
