MISSING Sydney woman Qi Yu was allegedly murdered by her flatmate inside their shared home at Campsie following an argument over money, police say.
Although the body of the 28-year-old has yet to be found, police believe she was murdered after discovering large amounts of blood in the Campsie property and her Toyota Corolla, which was found in the neighbouring suburb of Burwood.
Senior police sources say Ms Yu was talking to her mother on the internet when their call suddenly ended about 7.15pm on Friday, June 8.

When her frantic mother was not able to get in contact with her, she raised the alarm.
The following morning police began to question a 19-year-old man Ms Yu had sub-leased one of her rooms to but he was taken to hospital after complaining of health problems.
He was released from hospital yesterday and taken to Camspie police station where he was charged with Ms Yu’s murder.
He appearing in Burwood Local Court this afternoon, where he did not apply for bail and it was formally refused by the magistrate.
The court heard that police had applied to undertake a forensic procedure related to Ms Yu’s alleged killer.
The matter was then adjorned, to be mentioned again in the same court on July 9.
The day after Ms Yu was allegedly murdered, officers found her Corolla car parked on Lindsay Street, Burwood — only four kilometres from her house.
Police will allege her accused killer used Ms Yu’s car to dump her body and then borrowed another car from a friend.
Officers have also seized the second car for forensic examination.
While her flatmate prepares to face court, police say they are confident they will find Ms Yu’s body.
Ms Yu’s mother arrived in Sydney at the weekend and has been speaking to local and homicide detectives.
Vincent Chen, who lives two doors from Ms Yu in a Campsie complex, told The Daily Telegraph yesterday he heard the distraught mother arrive with police on Sunday morning.
“She cried and cried … she didn’t sleep for three days already,” Mr Chen said.
“If something happen to someone’s family like that, it’s terrible.
“She was a very honest and quiet girl, a very nice girl.”
