BACHELOR ‘villain’ Jen Hawke might think that Matty J is the one for her, but her mum Leanne has a different view.
The controversial bachelorette’s mother is one of four parents who will meet and greet the eligible single during tonight’s episode.
“Honestly, as I watch the show progress I don’t think he is Jen’s type at all,” Leanne told Confidential.
“She is really attracted to a man who will tell her when she is stepping out of line and somebody who is a strong masculine figure, however can be gentle and caring at the same time. As lovely as Matty is, I don’t feel he possesses those first two qualities. I could be wrong … who knows!”
With Jen stirring up lots of controversy in the house and being labelled one of the most polarising bachelorettes of all time, viewers have been wondering what her parents would think of her behaviour.
“I can’t say I am entirely happy with the way she has been portrayed,” Leanne said. “Don’t get me wrong, everything she has said would have been said at some time during recording, but there is a carefully balanced contradiction with Jen, and many layers to her personality which Australia haven’t been shown yet, but hey, it would have been an incredibly boring season without her there stirring the pot.”
Jen’s mother said although Matty is attractive, he is “nothing like” her previous boyfriends.
“Maybe a similar personality to one but that would be all. Most of her ex partners are quite adventurous which she is very drawn to being the adrenaline junkie she is.”
