Aussie male model Jordan Barrett wants to be known for more than just his pretty face

AUSSIE “It” model Jordan Barrett wants to be more than just a pretty face. He has been bouncing around the world with model mate Bella Hadid, but he has his eyes set on entrepreneurship and acting.

AUSSIE “It” model Jordan Barrett wants to be more than just a pretty face.

The Byron Bay-born male model — fresh from being photographed bouncing from one international hotspot to the next with model mate Bella Hadid — is officially broadening his horizons, setting his sights on entrepreneurship and acting.

Shrugging off his party boy rep, Barrett has partnered with US photographer Alana O’Herlihy to create a range of eyewear.

“My friend Alana O’Herlihy and I started a label of fashion goggles called Heavily Sedated that you can wear any time of the day,” Barrett told Fashion Weekly.

“We’re aiming to launch just before New York Fashion Week.”

It is not clear whether the line will be available in Australia.

Barrett also recently revealed he has been taking acting classes in the US for the past 12 months.

He has said working with an acting coach has helped build confidence.

“It is. I’m studying and working with dialect and acting coaches in New York and Los Angeles,” Barrett said.

“It took me about a year to start feeling comfortable, and now I’m really starting to enjoy it,” he said.

Barrett was thrown onto the international fashion scene after being scouted at a Gold Coast convenience store when he was just 13 years old.

He has since gone on to work for the biggest fashion brands including Balmain, Versace and Jeremy Scott.

He has fallen in with the cool crowd of young models, and is regularly seen out with big names such as Hadid, ­Hailey Baldwinand Alessandra Ambrosio.

He was also flown Down Under and paid $100,000 to walk exclusively for designer Justin Cassin’s first show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival this year.
