AN A-list crowd joined the country and state’s top politicians and some of the city’s best business minds as The Daily Telegraph held its annual Project Sydney Gala last night.
Among the crowd were many famous faces including reality star Krissy Marsh and model Erin Holland.
Holland said Sydney is a city of endless possibilities.
“Particularly in the west there is so much going on no matter what industry you are in,” she added.
Marsh told Confidential despite being born in Queensland, Sydney had become her home and she has spent many years selling real estate in Parramatta.
“Sydney is all about the harbour, swimming, paddle boarding,” she said. “I love the fact you can go on the harbour and catch your own dinner, harbour to table.
Channel 9 had a strong contingent of its top presenters on hand supporting the event. Despite an early wake-up call this morning Today show hosts Karl Stefanovic and Richard Wilkins turned out for the evening.
Fresh from Channel 9’s Love Island, Charlie Taylor was also turning a few heads. The former Wallaby was busy fielding questions about the raunchy show from fans and guests.
Entertaining the crowds were local artistsThandi Phoenixand current The Voice contestant Ben Sekali.
Having spent much of his life living in Penrith, Sekali said he believes we should be championing talent from greater western Sydney.
“We need more support of the arts,” he said.
“We are all creative people. We need anything that has to do with creativity — be it art, music, theatre.”
