Roxy Jancenko throws $100k party for Pixie as family heads off to Singapore

Roxy Jacenko will fly her family out to their new life in Singapore on Friday, but not before she threw one last lavish party for tween daughter Pixie. See the pictures here.

Roxy Jacenko and her family say goodbye to Sydney on Friday for a new life in Singapore — and they’re leaving with a bang.

On Saturday night, Pixie Curtis had an early 12th birthday party and farewell, to celebrate one last time with 26 girlfriends before her new life begins.

The party — a luxe slumber party staycation — included a full floor of villas at Crown for the excited pre-teens, where they spent the night after taking over Matteo Double Bay for dinner, curated by stylist to the stars Diane Khoury.

Pixie wore a custom-made baby pink long Lillian Khallouf gown.

While recently retired PR queen Jacenko wouldn’t confirm the cost, the whole affair is rumoured to have cost upwards of $100,000 — double that of brother Hunter’s ninth Hawaiian birthday aboard a superyacht on Sydney Harbour in May.

“Pixie turns 12 when we will be living in Singapore, so it was important for us to give her a very special celebration,” Jacenko said. “She was very apprehensive about the move and has a most wonderful friendship circle, so we wanted to celebrate the wonderful friendships she has prior to leaving.

“While it is a farewell, I have been teaching her to manage the trip back as an unaccompanied minor as I want her to know she can come back to Sydney any time.”

Jacenko said the move to Singapore — for husband Oliver’s work — wasn’t about her. Rather, it was for the benefit of her children and family unit, who had not spent a lot of time with their dad.

“This move was an important one for our family — the kids have both been without a father figure over the past years for extended amounts of time and we wanted to make sure that we fixed that, so moving to Singapore was the solution,” she said.

“There’s no doubt that help and a male figure will be of great benefit to both of them, not to mention the opportunity to be thrown in the deep end and make new friends, see new things and experience a different life.”

The move comes after selling their Vaucluse family home for $16 million — $2 million above reserve — closing down her successful Sweaty Betty PR firm in November and Pixie’s Bows in May.

And while Jacenko has juggled the birthday extravangaza just days before their 6000km move, she was both excited and sad at the same time.

“I am not thinking about how I feel, really, it’s more about what is right as a family.

“That said, I have told Oli, if he needs me, I’ll be pounding the concrete of famous designer shopping strip on Orchard Rd to get him back for how much he’s cost me over the years,” she laughed.

Saturday night’s birthday bash brought Singapore to Sydney, transforming the back terrace at Matteo with a fusion of Asian style with modern elements for an immersive experience, while the walls were covered with photos of Pixie’s Sydney memories.
