Radio host Kyle Sandilands has hinted fatherhood might finally be on the cards.
The 50-year-old was bantering with KIIS FM staff and co-host Jackie O Henderson on-air Friday morning and declared he would be a “good” parent.
“I’m going to be such a good dad,” Sandilands said.
“I‘ll put them in a wooden cage (if they misbehave) … I’m not putting up with anything.”
Baby rumours have circled the popular KIIS FM host in recent months with speculation he and partner of several years Tegan Kynaston are expecting.
Later in Friday morning’s show, Sandilands mentioned he had undergone fertility testing recently.
“We tested my (sperm) the other day … my girlfriend said to me, ‘Hey we want a baby’,” Sandilands said. “Better test it to make sure I’m not blowing out dust.”
Sandilands and Kynaston first went public with their relationship in 2019 following his split with girlfriend of eight years, Imogen Anthony.
The radio host, who in years past was vocal about not wanting children, has spoken candidly about his and Kynaston’s discussion around children.
Two weeks ago, Sandilands first revealed he was undergoing fertility testing.
“They have given me the little jar,‘ Kyle told KIIS drive hosts Will and Woody.
“Then they said you have to put it in your undies and rush to the clinic … I‘m not doing that so I have my little house boy Coffee John to put it in his undies and rush to the city. The Sandilands seed.”
Sandilands said last month when asked by The Daily Telegraph if Kynaston was pregnant: “No, we’re not pregnant but not from lack of trying.”
The radio host first revealed in August the pair had decided to have children together.
“We have decided that we’ll try for a baby, I suppose,“ Sandilands said on air.
“There’s a lot of pressure. I didn’t want to bring it up in case she feels pressure.”
It comes as the couple’s close friends, Kings Cross identity John Ibrahim and model Sarah Budge welcomed their first child together in September, a son named Elvis.
