THIS is what happens when self-professed “raging Leftie” Jonathon “JMo” Moran and Daily Telegraph political editor Sharri Markson talk “pig headed” Tony Abbott, Marriage equality and the state of Australia’s political debate.
With Miranda Devine in the US covering Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s trip to the White House, she handed the mic over to JMo and Markson.
And yesterday’s online radio show, Miranda Live, certainly had a different tone with JMo behind the desk.

Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott sat down with Markson to talk his call to slash immigration levels and even declare the next election winnable — despite “self-inflicted wounds”.
“(But) we can only win it if it’s not just a personality contest but it’s also a contest of policy and ideas and that’s why these things are important,” he told Markson.
After the interview, Moran weighed in.
“I have so many questions, I wish you had let me do that interview with you ... But I would have been naughty,” he told his co-host.
The self-confessed “raging Leftie” said he’d almost voted for Mr Turnbull twice, but just couldn’t bring himself to do it and then followed up by asking when “old mate Tony Abbott was just going to quit politics?”.
“This is why you can’t be a political reporter,” Markson responded.
JMo: “I’m sorry, I wear my heart on my sleeve and Tony Abbott just makes me feel sick”.
Markson: “You can’t say that!”
But the last straw for the hard nosed Canberra reporter came when JMo dubbed Mr Abbott “pig headed”.
“JMo! You can’t say that about our former Prime Minister!”
