The Walking Dead: Sasha’s alive and Eugene’s on a secret mission

The Walking Dead’s penultimate episode of season seven sees the final pieces slot into place for the All Out War between our heroes and the Saviors as it’s revealed that Sasha survived her attack and Eugene seems to be on a secret mission ...

THE penultimate episode of The Walking Dead’s seventh season will lock all the pieces into place, ready for All Out War to start in season eight.

The latest trailer offers a couple of tantalising titbits. First we see our heroes finally return to Oceanside to get some of the huge arsenal of guns they have thoughtfully stashed.

I do hope they don’t have to hurt anyone from Oceanside — given that Negan killed off every man and boy from that community, they have far more incentive to finish the Saviors than just about anybody.

And they would make far more reliable allies than Jadis and her Junkyard Gang once Carol has taken care of the psychopathic girl who wanted to kill Tara: “Just look at the seaweed ...”

Events are also moving ahead at The Hilltop, where it seems Gregory is planning to stab Maggie in the back. Literally.

Gregory is planning to trap Maggie in Episode 15.

Obviously that can’t happen — the fan outcry at losing Maggie and her unborn “Gleggie” baby would make the complaints about the deaths of Abraham and Glenn look like a mildly miffed letter from someone’s 80-year-old aunt.

But will Maggie or Jesus discover the secret directions to the Saviors’ sanctuary on Gregory’s corpse?

Naturally the key questions we want answered from episode 14 — is Sasha dead and who was the mysterious man with the crossbow looking over Rosita (most likely Dwight) did not feature in the trailer.

Daryl with crossbow ... but it was probably Dwight that Rosita saw.

But, with any luck, they will feature in the episode.

New pictures from this episode released today show Sasha alive and a captive and, most intriguingly, show Eugene about to break into a strange room in Negan’s sanctuary.

What is Eugene up to? This looks like he’s sneaking around on Negan and isn’t a traitor after all.

Time is running out, with the finale most likely to be eaten up by Negan’s expected attack on Alexandria.

We want to see the true — heroic — colours of both Eugene and Dwight revealed before then.
