Game Of Thrones preview: Jon and Dany will finally meet next week
THE preview for the next episode of Game Of Thrones, titled The Queen’s Justice, tells us there’s plenty of battles and a long-awaited-for meeting (or two ...)
THE preview for Game Of Thrones Episode 3, The Queen’s Justice, reveals plotting, battle and mystery but all we really care about is that Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen will finally meet.
Let’s face it, that is going to be the pivotal moment in the series and one that has been looming for years.
Adding a delicious undercurrent is the fact we know — and they don’t — they are actually aunt and nephew and he’s the rightful Targaryen heir to the Iron Throne.
So, will they kiss? Will they form an alliance? Will they work out which one of them is the Prince or Princess That Was Promised?
It’s all fascinating and that’s even before we get to Ser Davos meeting up with Melisandre again, who he promised to kill the next time they were in the same room.
So, there will be some other stuff to fill in the time before their meeting.
We see Euron flashing another set of leather pants and receiving a hero’s welcome at King’s Landing for sinking the Greyjoy fleet and dragging back Ellaria Sand and Yara Greyjoy.
Given Ellaria killed off Cersei’s daughter Myrcella, calling the episode The Queen’s Justice doesn’t augur well for either Ellaria or her daughter Tyene. If she hands them over to the zombified Mountain, they might even wish for Septa Unella’s gruesome fate.
Meanwhile we do see Cersei trying to prove she’s winning the war and getting herself some allies. Randall Tarly, maybe?
We also see (finally) the Dothraki in Dragonstone and Jaime heading off to somewhere, probably to attack Olenna Tyrell.
We also see Sansa looking apprehensive. Has Bran turned up? Has Arya? Is Littlefinger plotting something? (Well, we know the last one is definitely true).
Finally we get to see the Unsullied attacking Casterly Rock, with Grey Worm at their head. This looks like the setpiece battle for this episode and should see things finish 1-1 between Cersei and Dany.
There’s no sign of Sam in this, nor of Ser Jorah. Given we last saw them peeling off skin, that’s probably a good thing.
