Game Of Thrones: It’s a slow reveal of four different rulers

Game Of Thrones dropped a new teaser trailer overnight and it features the four rulers who will be struggling to control Westeros in the new season — as you have never seen them before.

GAME Of Thrones has released a new teaser trailer for season seven, which doesn’t feature scenes from the series but does offer an intriguing look at what’s to come.

We see the three main remaining protagonists, Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Cersei Lannister, all dressed for the winter climate, walking slowly to their respective thrones.

Cersei (Lena Headey) takes the Iron Throne in Game of Thrones.

We see Cersei heading for the Iron Throne — and looking pretty damn comfortable doing so — at King’s Landing. In the throne room, she’s also replaced the Baratheon stags and seven-pointed stars with Lannister lions. She’s looking strong and powerful and also appears to be enjoying sitting on the throne.

She seems to have a new outfit with some impressive detail work to go with the crown.

Dany heads for a new throne, one which we’ve not seen before but is most likely in Dragonstone, her birthplace and the spot where Stannis ran his ill-fated rebellion.

She’s dressed completely differently to the filmy dresses that were her staple in the hot Meereen and her hair is styled differently, as well.

Daenerys takes the throne at Dragonstone, leaving behind Meereen in this new trailer.

Meanwhile Jon doesn’t get a throne, as such, more of a bench, and he appears the most reluctant of the three to sit at it — perhaps because he knows what is coming. From the giant fur cloak he is wearing, it is obvious winter has hit Winterfell hard.

But it is Cersei who shows the true effect of winter, with balmy King’s Landing long gone. Instead, her breath creates a cloud of steam.

And then it cuts to the Night King, who obviously has his eye on all of them — symbolically.

This seems to indicate what season seven will reflect — Jon Snow reluctantly taking on the role of King in the North, Dany settling in to her rightful position, Cersei enjoying the taste of power — and the Night King prepared to overshadow all their efforts.
