Fear The Walking Dead springs to life with hordes of zombies

After the first half of the season was full of drama and humans killing other humans, the second half is going to give us more of the same — only with lashings of zombies as well, the new trailer proves.

Fear of the Walking Dead season 3 trailer

FEAR The Walking Dead will finally truly live up to its title — and add a little of sister show The Walking Dead’s community warfare for good measure.

FTWD it returns on September 11 on Foxtel’s FX channel and its trailer for the second half of season three promises big things.

First and foremost is Walkers. Lots and lots of Walkers. Herds of the undead biters. After the first half of the season was very light on Walkers, this half promises to make up the difference.

And it’s not before time. Over on The Walking Dead, the characters couldn’t sit still for more than five minutes without Walkers turning up.

On FTWD, the characters sat quite happily on the Otto ranch for several episodes without having a single one turn up at the front gate.

Madison and Walker have made a peace deal — but it may not last.

After Madison handed over Jeremiah’s head to Walker as a peace offering, it appears the two sides have come together. But they’re more the Manson family than a happy family.

Troy, the lunatic younger son, is trying to start trouble, which surely can’t be far away given Walker’s people don’t like the ranchers anyway.

The Ottos and the Clarks have made uncertain allies.

On that note, why is this character called Walker? It’s too confusing. Sure, this series doesn’t call the dead “Walkers” the way the Walking Dead does but it’s still weird.

Anyway, we also see Madison meeting up with Strand, and the water running dry on the ranch. Seeing as Strand knows where there’s a whole dam full of water, just over the border, it looks as if the various strands (sorry!) of the plot are going to come together. Especially as we also get a glimpse of Madison meeting up again with Daniel.

So which side will he choose, given that daughter Ofelia is back at the ranch?

The chance of a peaceful solution seems very slim, especially given the huge arsenal under the Otto ranch.
