Episode 2 of The Walking Dead could see three heroes killed

THE Walking Dead Season 8 episode 2 could see three heroes killed as Negan fights back in the war.

THE All-Out War started brilliantly last week — for Rick — but Negan looks set to fight back this week with perhaps as many as three heroes set to die.

Get ready for some possible spoilers as we look at episode two, The Damned.

Rick’s attack on the Sanctuary ent perfectly but this week things are set to go wrong.

Last week we saw Rick and his allies heading off to destroy several Saviour bases after leading the huge Herd into the Sanctuary and effectively trapping Negan inside.

Apart from Father Gabriel allowing himself to be captured after the stupidest rescue attempt in history — why would anyone save Gregory? — everything went well.

Or did it?

We saw Ezekiel, Carol and a bunch of Kingdom knights attack a Saviour base when a blast is set off. The last thing we heard before it cut to the Walker Herd at the Sanctuary was the sound of more Walkers.

This sound awfully like action from the comics when Ezekiel and his knights are surprised by Walkers.

Nothing is going to kill Carol, she’s indestructible.

Obviously Carol is not going to die, nor is Ezekiel but things don’t look good for Ezekiel’s pie-eating bodyguard Jerry — and this is also how pet tiger Shiva dies in the comics.

Of course it could be different in the TV show but things went just too well for Rick and co last week. Killing off a few heroes would even the score a little.

Ezekiel was all smiles but will he be as happy at the end of this episode?

On that note, things are looking bleak for Eric, the boyfriend of Aaron.

In the comics he dies leading an attack on a Saviour outpost. Given the series spent a fair bit of time last season having Eric question whether to join the fight or not, it seems likely that he will also fall this episode.

Father Gabriel is also in danger, because he’s in Negan’s grubby little hands, although his death is certainly not foreshadowed in the comics during the war.

Could he die at Negan’s hands?

Loveable bodyguard Jerry is in real danger this week.

It is possible but it seems more likely that he will be used as a bargaining chip. And that rescuing him will be Eugene’s way back to redemption.
