They are a couple of inner city kids who took an early shine to water polo, and now Finn and Noah Bright find themselves playing for clubs at either end of the geographical ladder in the Delfina Water Polo Queensland Premier League.
Older brother Finn is representing the Gold Coast while Noah switched from his junior club of UQ Barracudas on the city edge in West End to playing for the Albany Creek based North Brisbane Polo Bears.
Both have been fantastic career moves for the brothers after coming through the Barras junior ranks which is bulging with talent.
Finn is now a Queensland Country representative and Noah, 19, has been given a chance to start for the first time as his team’s No.1 goalie.

Last year young Noah shared the keeping duties with Fabio Pavanello at Barras, but for this tournament he is Polo Bears starting keeper.
“We have a lot of young boys coming through and it is a great opportunity,’’ Noah Bright said.
“Last year I played for Barras with a lot of the older boys and that was a great experience, but this year is different because a lot of the boys are young, not as experienced, but it will be good.
He has been blooded at Queensland Thunder level previously and wants to “keep pushing’’ to play more at the national level.
Noah followed his older brother Finn into the sport after Finn was tossed into the deep end at his old school of Brisbane State High School.
“I got introduced to the sport in my first year of high school when the school forced all swimmers to play water polo,’’ Finn recalled.
“Noah started at a Barras Gala Day where they offered him a spot in an under 12’s team straight away.’’
“It is a great opportunity for me playing with the Gold Coast, playing against the best in Brisbane and the rest of Queensland, to develop our skills in a competition environment.’’
Finn said the Premier League “provides a great pathway for young kids coming through the Gold Coast system’’.
“It gives them something to aim for, to be a part of the Queensland Premier League squad.’’
