Bridge to Brisbane event details and road closures

Roads across Brisbane will be closed this Sunday as more than 30,000 runners and walkers make their way across the Gateway Bridge to the showgrounds during The Sunday Mail’s Bridge to Brisbane. SEE THE FULL LIST OF ROAD CLOSURES

Celebrating its 27th year, The Sunday Mail’s Bridge to Brisbane will welcome 30,000 runners and walkers to cross the iconic Gateway Bridge on Sunday October 15 as a part of Queenslands largest fun run.

There will be a number of road closures in place across the course to ensure the safety of participants and the general public.

ROAD CLOSURES:

– Lytton Rd from Creek Rd to Paringa Rd will be closed from 2am to 9.30am

– Queensport Rd from Murarrie Rd to Lytton Rd will be closed from 2am to 9.30am

– Administration Rd from Lytton Rd to Gateway Motorway will be closed from 2am to 9.30am

– Gateway Motorway Lytton Rd off ramp (southbound) from Lytton Rd to Gateway Motorway will be closed from 2am to 9.30am

– Miller St from Creek Rd to Lytton Rd will be closed from 2am to 9.3am

– Gateway Motorway Southbound from Southern Cross Way to Port of Brisbane on ramp (southbound) from 5am to 9.30am

– Gateway Motorway Southbound from East West Arterial off ramp to Gateway Motorway will be closed from 5am to 9.30am

– Links Ave North from Cullen Ave East to Kingsford Smith Dr will be closed from 3am to 10am

– Kingsford Smith Dr from Fison Ave West to Breakfast Creek Rd will be closed from 3am to 12pm

– Nudgee Rd from Allen St to Kingsford Smith Dr will be closed from 3am to 12pm

– Remora Rd from Macarthur Ave to Kingsford Smith Dr will be closed from 3am to 12pm

– Finnegan St from Little Remora Rd to Curtin Ave West will be closed from 3am to 12pm

– Macarthur Ave from Wharf St to Remora Rd will be closed from 3am to 12pm

– Northshore Way from Hercules St to Kingsford Smith Dr will be closed from 3am to 12pm

– Racecourse Rd from Allen St to Kingsford Smith Dr will be closed from 3am to 12pm

– Riverview Tce from Whyenbah St to Kingsford Smith Dr will be closed from 3am to 12pm

– Innercity Bypass westbound from Kingsford Smith Dr to Clem7 will be closed from 3am to 12.30pm

– Innercity Bypass eastbound from Abbotsford Rd off ramp to Kingsford Smith Dr will be closed from 3am to 12.30pm

– Breakfast Creek Rd from Edmonstone St to Kingsford Smith Dr will be closed from 3am to 12.30pm

– AirportlinkM7 from Campbell St on/off ramp to Kingsford Smith Dr will be closed from 3am to 12.30pm

– Campbell st from Abbotsford Rd/Markwell St to Mayne Rd will be closed from 3am to 12.30pm

– O’Connell Tce from Hamilton Pl to Tufton St will be closed from 3am to 12.30pm

– Mayne Rd from Inner City Bypass to Hamilton Pl will be closed from 3am to 12.30pm

– Hamilton Pl from Campbell St to Brookes St will be closed from 3.30am to 12.30pm

– Brookes St from St Pauls Tce to Hamilton Pl will be closed from 3.30am to 12.30pm

– Exhibition St from Gregory Tce to St Pauls Tce will be closed from 3.30am to 12.30pm

– Alexandria St from Gregory Tce to St Pauls Tce will be closed from 3.30am to 4pm

– Machinery St from King St to Alexandria St will be closed from 3.30am to 4pm

– King St from Gregory Tce to St Pauls Tce will be closed from 3.30am to 1pm

– Gregory Tce from Costin St to Brookes St will be closed from 3.30am to 2pm

As well as road closures, Clem7 southbound and AirportlinkM7 southbound will be toll free between 5am and 9.30am to accommodate for traffic during the Bridge to Brisbane.
