Police have released CCTV footage in a search for two teenagers who may be able to help with investigations after a four-year-old boy was allegedly struck by two people on an e-scooter.
The child was left with serious head injuries and was taken to hospital after the incident at Ipswich on April 5.
Police allege two older boys were sharing the scooter when they collided with the child around 6.30pm near a shopping centre dining precinct Main St at Springfield Central.
Police will also allege they were thrown from the e-scooter, fleeing the scene without helping the boy.
They left in the direction of the Lagoon and car park area.
Police are urging anyone who saw the incident, especially those who stopped to help or who recognises the two teenagers to come forward.
“Nearby businesses with CCTV or anyone else with information that may assist investigators are urged to make contact,” Queensland Police said in a statement issued at the weekend.
“Anonymous reports can be made.”
One of the riders was wearing a grey-hooded jumper with black pants and a bum-bag across his chest. The other was wearing a long dark-sleeved shirt with white stripe detail on the sleeves, with grey shorts and a dark cap. Both are described as caucasian.
