Queensland Schools Premier League 2020 games livestreamed at www.couriermail.com.au

Qualifying matches, semi-finals and finals of the esteemed Queensland Schools Premier League competition will be livestreamed at www.couriermail.com.au starting this week.

Many of Queensland’s finest junior footballers will come together this week as qualifying matches in the elite Queensland Schools Premier League competition hots up.

Six games involving Palm Beach Currumbin SHS, Marsden SHS, Chancellor State College, Murrumba SSC, Corinda SHS and Aspley SHS will also be livestreamed at www.couriermail.com.au on Wednesday and Thursday.

Those six schools, together with Cleveland SHS, Harristown SHS, Kawana Waters College, Kelvin Grove SHS, Cavendish Road SHS and Helensvale SHS will via for places in the semi-finals (August 14) and finals (August 20).

Rounds will involve senior and junior boys and girls games.

The Murrumba State Secondary College football players model new kits.

There will be livestreaming of the Wednesday’s senior girls competition at Murrumba State Secondary College between PBC, Murrumba SC and Aspley SHS.

Then on Thursday there will be livestreaming of the senior boys competition between Marsden SHS, Corinda SHS and Chancellor SC.

Chris Maher, Murrumba SSC football Academy co-ordinator, said schools strive to play in the Queensland Schools Premier League.

“It is a very competitive competition, as there are a number of schools that have players currently with the Brisbane Roar,’’ Maher said.

“I believe any school that is looking to take their football program to the next level should consider being a part of the SPL, especially now that we have a partnership with the Brisbane Roar.’’
