KFC will open doors to a new Brisbane restaurant, it has been revealed.
The fast food giant has plans to launch a new stand-alone restaurant with drive-thru in a large new development at Richlands, in Brisbane’s southwest.
It will form an anchor point for the new centre, which will house a multitude of new businesses on a currently vacant block of land at the intersection of Government and Garden roads.
The end result will see four separate buildings (including the free-standing KFC restaurant) house the fast food restaurant plus three other dining establishments.
One of the restaurants will include outdoor dining overlooking a wildlife corridor, while the development will also bring with it 78 car parks including four persons with a disability parking spaces and 14 spaces for KFC.
The dining hub will incorporate stages five and six of a large-scale development already planned for the area.
It is understood KFC will be built as part of stage five of the development while the remaining restaurants will comprise stage six.
An earlier, partially approved, development application for stages one—four revealed plans for a Hoppy’s car wash and another fast food outlet with drive-thru.
The applicaiton follows plans for a huge new Home Co centre in the suburb.
