A man charged after an alleged violent robbery on Brisbane’s bayside, where another man was allegedly ran over with his own ute, leaving him fighting for his life in hospital, has been identified.
Logan Central resident Jaimie Anthony Loizou, 24, was charged with robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle after the alleged attack on a 45-year-old Manly West man at his driveway on Peregian Close on August 16.
After investigations from detectives at the Bayside CIB led to his arrest, Mr Loizou appeared in the Wynnum Magistrates Court on Monday.

He has been refused bail and remanded in custody, and will appear again on October 19.
Police released footage of the incident they believe was a “random” attack after appealing for help from the community to catch the person responsible.
The video shows the 45-year-old man driving his ute into a driveway, when another man approached him from a black Toyota Corolla parked in the street.
The man, who the ute belonged to, suffered serious injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital but later his status was changed to stable.
The HiLux was later found abandoned on Amberjack St in Manly.
