A domestic confrontation in a suburban Brisbane street ended with a man - who in a deplorable outburst called police officers “f**king pigs” - being capsicum sprayed and handcuffed to calm him down.

A domestic confrontation in a suburban Brisbane street ended with a man being capsicum sprayed and handcuffed to calm him down.

Lance Sonny Bilich dodged a conviction at Richlands Magistrates Court for his “appalling” behaviour during a drunken outburst on March 14.

He pleaded guilty on Wednesday to public nuisance and obstructing police.

The court was told Bilich was refusing to leave a Mildura St address in Stretton at 1.05pm despite an Uber waiting for him.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Robert Fogarty said Bilich was “very agitated” and was requested to leave multiple times by residents and the police.

When he challenged them to a fight, officers used capsicum spray to subdue him.

“Officers attempted to use handcuffs … the defendant kept his arms close to his chest,” Sgt Fogarty said.

During his arrest, Bilich continued screaming abuse at officers, calling them “f***ing pigs” and telling them to “f*** off”.

Defence lawyer Jacilynn Young said Bilich was “embarrassed” by his actions and did not remember why he didn’t want to leave because of heavy drinking earlier that day.

“He doesn’t recall why he was refusing to leave,” Ms Young said.

Magistrate Aaron Simpson said it was out of character for him and did not record a conviction.

Bilich received a $1000 fine.
