A GROUP of Brisbane North seniors is proving you’re never too old to tick items off your bucket list.
Four thrillseekers aged from 77 to 93 took to the skies in a helicopter as part of a new Bucket List initiative implemented by staff at Lutheran Services Zion Aged Care in Nundah.

The group flew over Brisbane City, taking in views of South Bank, the University of Queensland and Mt Coot-tha.
For Cecile Kennedy, 77, it was the experience which spoke to her.
“I have never been on a helicopter before, so it was a new experience which I wanted,” she said.
Dot Mahaffey, 82, said she had taken a helicopter ride when she was younger.
“I am so excited that I went up again,” she said.
They were joined on the AirShare excursion by Colin Bell, 93, and Joan Cousins, 81.

Zion Lifestyle Manager Sarah Breen said the bucket list initiative aimed to instil joy and happiness in residents’ lives.
“Our goal is to enhance the lives of residents and enable them to enjoy creative and fulfilling pursuits and activities,” she said.
“Residents have been on cruises, done indoor skydiving, been whale watching, it’s all about listening to our residents and helping them to achieve something they may have thought not possible at their age.
“And it also may change people’s perceptions about entering aged care.”
