A multimillion-dollar putt putt centre will open at Bluewater Square Shopping Centre later this month.

The precinct has been under construction since August and features and 18-hole under the sea themed mini golf, gaming arcade, cafe and bar.

Plans for the Peninsula’s first putt putt centre were lodged with Moreton Bay Regional Council in May.

Elanor Investors Group leasing and special projects manager Jason Cravino said the centre would open on Saturday November 14.

It is no ordinary mini golf centre – it has been decked out to take golfers on an underwater journey.

Mini-golfers will have to be on the lookout for sharks, a giant squid, sperm whale, mermaids and pirates.

Visitors will putt over the ocean floor discovering ancient fossilised prehistoric fish, great white sharks, crocodiles and whirlpools.

The wreck of HMAS Bark Endeavour also awaits with a black light cave, 3D art murals and educational elements.

A new entertainment and dining venue will soon open in Bluewater Square Redcliffe. The project under construction will be the region's first Entertainment, Leisure & Tourism Attraction. Jason Cravino is the leasing and special projects manager at Elanor Investors Group. Picture: Renae Droop

SEVEN DEVELOPMENTS CHANGING THE FACE OF REDCLIFFE

Mr Cravino said the opening weekend would be a special one.

“With support of Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism, Bluewater Square will host a family-friendly grand opening weekend featuring roving performers, centre activations, photo opportunities and some great giveaways,” Mr Cravino said.

“The first 500 children to book their putt-putt experience will receive a free showbag filled with goodies including a pirate hat, tattoos, activities and local discounts.”

Putters are being urged to embrace their inner pirate and dress up for the occasion, with a weekend stay at Oaks Mon Komo up for grabs for the best dressed.

“Bluewater Square will also join in the fun with centre activations including interactive Ocean Life Touch Tanks and King Neptunes Throne for some great insta-worthy photo opportunities.”

To avoid disappointment, putters are encouraged to book ahead to secure their preferred timeslot.

Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism CEO Shane Newcombe said he was excited about the development.

“This sort of entertainment and leisure experience is exactly what Redcliffe needs,” he said. “This immersive experience is sure to be a hit with local Moreton Bay Region residents as well as a real drawcard for tourism.”

Undersea Putt & Play is the region’s brand-new entertainment centre located at Bluewater Square, Redcliffe.

The venue features a state of the art 18-hole putt-putt course, a gaming arcade, cafe and bar.

To book your round of mini golf at Undersea Putt & Play, particularly over the grand opening weekend, bookings are strongly encouraged.
