Mon Komo Hotel, at Redcliffe, will be closed until February as Lewis Land Group pour approximately $3 million into a “much-needed refresh”.
Mon Komo Hotel currently has multiple bars, dining options, conference, meeting and wedding facilities.
Lewis Land Group’s Queensland Regional Manager Chris Allison said the venue had not undergone any upgrades since it opened in 2011.
“The Group officially took over the site five weeks ago and we are looking forward to giving it the revival it deserves,” Mr Allison said.
Mr Allison is remaining tight-lipped on what renovations will take place but he did reveal that KP Architects, based in Brisbane, are behind the design and it would cost approximately $3 million.
He said it would include a new dining concept with a charcoal rotisserie.
The design will tie the inside with the outside of the venue and include a new outdoor dining area.
“Despite closing for a few months, our reopening will see additional jobs being created to service all areas of the venue,” Mr Allison said.

“Redcliffe will have a new and improved venue to bring all members of the community together and enjoy a new place to congregate, once further pandemic restrictions ease.
“We are confident this will drive more economic growth and resurgence in the local area, and bringing more for the Queenslanders is our top priority.
“After 2020 threw us a complete curveball with the COVID-19 pandemic, this couldn’t come at a better time.
“We are most excited to be giving the Mon Komo Hotel a new look and have it return to being one of the community’s key social meeting points early next year.”
It is not the only venue Lewis Land Group have recently upgraded.
