CCTV footage has captured the moment a would-be-thief stopped to take several power naps while trying to smash his way into a business north of Brisbane.
Police from Redcliffe Criminal Investigation Branch said the man can be seen trying to use a paver to smash the glass doors of a business at Deception Bay Road, Rothwell on May 16.

Senior Constable Jo Arthur said the man can clearly be seen stopping to take several “power naps” during the attempted break in.
“The alleged offender is seen staggering around the yard and uses a paver to smash three glass doors at the premises in an attempt to gain entry,” Sen Const. Arthur said.
“After leaving, the person falls over a bollard at a neighbouring premises and falls asleep for a short time in a carpark.”
Police have asked anyone with information about the crime or who can identify the person in the photos to phone Police Link on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
