A Gold Coast waitress who bizarrely bit her boyfriend on the ankle during a heated argument has faced court for the attack.

Tiara Lee Blackburn was sentenced in Beenleigh District Court earlier on in the year for a violent fracas with the same partner, involving a knife, vodka bottles and several punches.

Beenleigh Magistrates Court heard on Monday, July 31 that Blackburn, 23, was having an argument with her boyfriend in March last year.

The court heard the waitress, from Mudgeeraba, bit her partner on the ankle on March 11, 2022 at a home in Woodridge.

They were having a tussle over a mobile phone which ended with Blackburn lashing out by biting the man.

On February 24, 2022 she also pushed her partner while he was on the phone to his mother after they had a heated discussion about the breakdown in their relationship.

She pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm and common assault (domestic violence offences) for the attacks.

Blackburn’s defence lawyer John Shepley said his client had passed multiple drug tests since the offending and she was working closely with her former partner to have an amicable relationship.

Magistrate Tracy Mossop placed Blackburn on a probation order for two years and convictions were recorded.
