A Logan father found with $20,000 of drug money and pure cocaine during a police chopper chase, has faced court again.

Blair Richard Milne, 36, pleaded guilty in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday, May 30 to driving with a relevant drug in his system on September 17 last year.

He also pleaded guilty to having possession of proceeds connected to a drug offence.

The court heard that a year earlier on June 22, 2021 Milne, from Mudgeeraba was driving in Loganlea and was pursued by a police helicopter.

He got out of his car and ran from police, dropping three clip seal bags containing $23,000, 15g of pure cocaine and 2.5g of pure methamphetamine.

The bag contained five separate bundles of Australian cash equalling $23,000.

The court heard Milne ran through several backyards and jumped fences in an effort to avoid police.

Milne was sentenced in the Brisbane Supreme Court on April 11 to two years in prison for that offending.

On September 17, 2022 Milne was pulled over by police and found with $2175 in the car.

He also told the officer he had used methamphetamine recently, after doing a drug test.

Magistrate Tracy Mossop said Milne had a history of drug-related offending.

“If you continue on your course of drugs you will find yourself in jail again,” she said.

He was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for 18 months and will remain on strict parole conditions.

Milne had already served a total of 542 days in pre-sentence custody.

His driving license was also disqualified for one month.
